English Hallway? More Like Catwalk...

Yes, this is going to be another school related post and for those as unlucky as I am by that I mean starting school in September I'll keep this one short and to the point. Anyway I was sitting outside reading my book today and for some strange reason this thought popped into my mind..."Why doesn't anyone wear heels to school". Now don't get me wrong I do understand that it would be moderately painful given the fact that you are lugging around books and binders and such from class to class. But still I would love to wear heels to school-believe when I say easier said then done. I already "over-dress" for school as one of my classmates so kindly pointed out, so adding heels to the equation probably would add to that factor. Not that I mind being different from everyone else at school (if you've read my previous posts you'll know that I actually completely embrace it). Back to the main question here...I'm curious do any of you lovely fashionistas wear high heel shoes to school?

Seriously, no one wears heels in your school? I'm Finnish and I graduated high school just this spring. In our school you would not be a complete stand out if you wore heels because some of the teachers are wearing them as well.I would wear my 10 cm heel ankle boots to school even through the slipperiest winter months.I do feel, though, that I was slightly a forerunner when it came to wearing heels in our school. For example, when I bought a beautiful pair ankle boots in winter 2006 I got some long looks from some of the "fashionistas" in our school. But when ankle boots came a big trend last winter here in Finland I had been wearing mine already for one winter season.:P
Keep wearing your heels! I wear mine no matter what the weather is like.Your example might encourage someone else to put their flats to the side and rise towards the sky heights. I mean, some people in our school might think that wearing heels or experimenting with their style otherwise would be too daring. But if you're willing to show lead maybe they will follow. :)

I think the fact that the people in your school dón't wear heels is kind of strange. I live in the Netherlands and it's very normal to wear heels to school over here.
So don't be afraid to stand out and be the trendsetter of your school. ;)

I'm Dutch and at school I see so many girls wearing heels (not that actually all of them are able to walk good on heels...) and I sels wear heels almost everyday, even when I go to school. Of course there are some heels that aren't suitable for school (because I keep hanging in the floor when I wear small heels, or because there to high).

Oh, did I allready tell you I love your site?

And another Dutch girl commenting, haha. I've always worn 12cm (about 5") heels to school, and yes everyone looked and stared at them like idiots, but other 'normal dressed' girls wear heels at school too. Though not that high, about only 2".

Anyway, I didn't care and you should wear them if you want to ;)
